The Zimbabwean cricketers had net practice at the Rawalpidi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, in preparation for their forthcoming tri-series encounters against Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will clash in two matches of the One-Day tri-series on Saturday and Monday.
The Zimbabweans have so far lost both their matches against Pakistan-the third side in the tri-series. The visitors are in a must-win situation in both the matches against Lankans to retain any realistic chance of making it to the final to be played at the Qadhafi Stadium in Lahore.
"We may be down but not out after defeats by Pakistan" said Zimbabwe coach Phil Simmons4 a former West Indies opening batsman who still holds the world records of taking four wickets for three runs from 10 overs4 with eight maiden, and that too against Pakistan, though he only occasionally howled during his playing career.
"We will put up our best against Sri Lanka", he said, adding that bowlers need to do a bit more to make Zimbabwe a fighting outfit.
Zimbabwe lost the second One-Day against Pakistan at Peshawar by just three wickets after setting the home side a target of 252 to win.
