BenHur, the movie, is an exquisite painting of the 16th century. The time when the whites wore dresses, which covered their whole structure and then we have some more American movies, but as they are of 21st century, therefore they portray this era of modernisation and reveal the beauties made by God.
We, the blacks are the copy - cats. So, we follow the west in all the ways and norms of life overlooking our own cultural and religious values. Our print and electronic media, both are absorbed and preoccupied in producing the xerox copy of what our West has to give us.
Our cinema and film industry is producing some shameful programmes and films, which we as Muslims should not be allowed to do so bluntly in front of all the world.
So, what are we heading for? The ultimate day: the doomsday. Well, that is already waiting for us; hence, why are we in so much haste?
In fact, the biggest dilemma of the people of this world is to become superior to the other in every aspect of life.
Either it is nuclear power holder or it may be liquidating the traditions of any country. The competition is on its apex and instead of terminating, it is still continuing.
The newspapers and magazines have also entered this marathon and the advertisements they publish on the inside pages are obscene and disgraceful. I wonder, why we have refrained from respecting ourselves?
