Sugar mills asked to start crushing from October 15

The Sindh Cane Commissioner Nazar Muhammad Baloch has asked the sugar mills management of the province to start sugarcane crushing season 2004-2005 up to October 15, 2004.
In his final notice issued here on Wednesday, he warned in case of violation of the directives, cases would be registered against the mills management under section 78 of Sugar Factory Control Act 1950.
He said earlier the date for start of crushing season was fixed as October 1, 2004, however, following the meeting of the representatives of sugar mills management with Sindh Chief Minister on September 28, the date was rescheduled and fixed as October 15, 2004.
