Professor Dr Mohammad Yar Khuhawar, director, Institute of Chemistry, University of Sindh, was awarded gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 20,000 by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on the World Teachers Day at a ceremony held at the Auditorium of the National Library, Islamabad, on October 5 in recognition of his services in the field of education.
He was also awarded a return air-ticket to perform Umra, which he is expected to perform in Ramazan.
Sindh University vice chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui also facilitated Dr Khuhawar, and lauded his service for the cause of education.
