Soft red winter (SRW) wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were higher early on Thursday amid supportive exports, traders said. At 10:26 am CDT (1526 GMT), CBOT wheat was up 2-1/2 to 3 cents per bushel, with December up 3-1/4 at $3.05-1/4.
Brokers Refco and Tenco were light buyers of the December contract, pit sources said.
The US Department of Agriculture early Thursday pegged net export sales of US wheat during the week ended last Thursday at 803,700 tonnes, well above trade estimates for 450,000 to 600,000 tonnes.
