Prime Minister of Mauritius Paul Raymond Berenger will arrive here on a three day visit to Pakistan on October 11 to further promote bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Mauritian Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high level delegation including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International level Trade and Regional Co-operation and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister to Arab and Gulf countries.
This will be Berenger's first visit to Islamabad as Prime Minister as he earlier visited Pakistan in 1997 as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
Engagements of Prime Minister Berenger in Islamabad include a call on the President General Pervez Musharraf, who will also host a lunch in honour of visiting dignitary. The Mauritian Prime Minister will hold substantive talks with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, who will host a banquet in honour of the dignitary.
The Mauritian Prime Minister will also visit Lahore and meet the Punjab Governor and Chief Minister. His visit is expected to enable the two sides to review the regional situation as well as developments in Middle East and Africa. The two countries are expected to sign two MoUs pertaining to the co-operation between two Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the FPCCI and Mauritian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
