Lahore LB by-polls: CEC bans public meetings, processions

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Chief Justice Irshad Hasan Khan (Retd) has directed that there will be no public meetings, processions in connection with forthcoming Local Government by-elections at union councils of Lahore district.
According to the code of conduct issued here on Friday in connection with election campaign, the public meetings and procession are completely banned in these by-elections.
The constituencies where the ban will be effective are (i) Union Nazim Union Council No 86 Sanda Khurd of Lahore District, (ii) Union Nazim, Union Council No 66, Azeem Park of Lahore District, (iii) Naib Union Nazim, Union Council No 91, Data Gunj Bakhsh town City District Lahore, (iv) Union Nazim Union Council No 64, Aziz Bhatti Town of Lahore District.
