The Businessman Forum Leader and former FPCCI president Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour has said the presidentship of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has been given to competent persons to protect the interest of business community and resolve their problems.
Addressing a reception arranged by the Industrial Association here in honour of the newly-elected Sarhad Chamber President Malik Niaz Ahmad, he said the new SCCI office-bearers are competent people, enjoy confidence of the businessmen and fully capable of serving their interest in a better way.
Those who were present on the occasion were: Industrialists Association President Nauman Wazir, former SCCI president Adeel Rauf, Ghulam Sarwar Khan Mohmand, Riaz Arshad, Asim-ur-Rehman, and a large number of industrialists and traders.
Senator Bilour said the Businessmen Forum backed the president and left no stone unturned in the service of the business community, and increased the prestige of the Sarhad Chamber.
He said the business community of the province has full confidence in Businessmen Forum and the ample proof it was the unopposed election of candidates of the executive committee and office-bearers of the Sarhad Chamber.
Sarhad Chamber President Malik Niaz Ahmad vowed his resolve to ensure the better service to industrialists, traders and other segments of business community, adding he wants to run the affairs of the chamber with a new vision and would use available resources for the achievement of this goal.
He also vowed that he would take effective measures for the abolition of double taxation from Industrial Estates Hayatabad and Small Industrial Estates, Kohat Road, Peshawar, framing of industrial policy and promotion of industries in the province.
He assured he will make utmost efforts to come up to the expectations of the leadership of Businessmen Forum, members of the executive committee and business community, who has expressed confidence by electing him as president of the Sarhad Chamber.
