Punjab Minister for Auqaf Sahibzada Saeed ul Hasan Shah in a meeting of religious scholars held here on Saturday has criticised those elements that were creating differences between Ummah in the country.
He stated that it was unfortunate that certain people could not digest development and other positive measures taken up by President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
Averring that government was fully alive of its responsibilities, the Minister said that nefarious designs of certain people to create differences in society would be strongly dealt with.
Scholars present in the meeting strongly criticised recent bomb blasts in Sialkot and Multan where a number of innocent people were killed. Provincial Advisor on Religious Affairs Hafiz Tahir Mahmud Ashrafi, Secretary Auqaf Muhammad Javaid Iqbal, Director Religious Affairs Dr Syed Qamar Ali Zaidi were present on the occasion.
