Chairman Pakistan Sugar Mills Association, Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf has welcomed the announcement by the President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz regarding continuity of economic policies and creation of environment conducive to investment.
Reacting to the reports about meeting of both President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz with a group of businessmen, Zaka said the assurance given by the top leadership of the country has sent a message of satisfaction among the business community in particular.
In a statement here Saturday, Zaka stated that continuity of economic policies since 1999 has, no doubt, played a vital role in shaping up the economy of Pakistan. That is why, the economy had taken its firm root much before the international assistance to Pakistan in the wake of tragic incident of 9/11 and Pakistan's role as frontline state for war against terrorism.
