Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) is launching a province-wide campaign against cable operators relaying obscene channels and programmes.
The campaign is being launched on growing public complaints against such operators.
The Pemra has started issuing show cause notices to cable operators indulging in violating the Pemra's rules and regulations.
Meanwhile Pemra has sought co-operation of police department for its proposed campaign. The department has agreed to provide two police mobiles for the drive.
