A total of 20 tourists were confirmed dead and four were missing Sunday after a bus plunged into a river in south-west China's Sichuan province, state media reported.
The accident happened early Saturday, when the bus, crammed with passengers on their way to a scenic spot, veered off the road at a sharp turn along the Fu river, Xinhua news agency said.
Twenty-one were saved but remained hospitalised one day later, one of them with serious injuries, according to the agency.
As darkness descended Sunday, rescuers continued their search for the four missing passengers, Xinhua said.
