A two-day workshop on "Broadcast management" was held at the Serena Hotel Islamabad on Monday and Tuesday.
The workshop was organised by US International Broadcasting Bureau and Clarity Communications Pakistan.
Distinguished media expert and broadcaster Dr Sam Swan, Professor of Communications at University of Tennessee, conducted the workshop, which was attended by the broadcasters from public and private sectors across the country.
Dr Sam imparted vital information regarding the organisation of broadcast, stations, developing the target audience, targeted programming, advertising strategies, financial management and promotional tactics.
The main objective of the workshop was to develop strategies for a sustainable broadcasting system among private FM stations.
At the concluding session, Greggory Crouch, Press Attaché of US Embassy in Islamabad awarded the certificates to the participants of the workshop.
Dr Sam Swan said that it has been a great experience for him to conduct a workshop in Pakistan and that the participants were very enthusiastic and active.
He emphasised upon the need to conduct these kinds of workshops in future.-PR
