In pursuance of the directions of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank (PPCB) has decided to provide Rs 8 billion agriculture loans to the farmers.
This was revealed by the Registrar, Co-operatives, Punjab, Khalid Pervaiz, while addressing a meeting of senior officers of the bank and co-operatives department here on Tuesday.
The meeting reviewed issuance of Rabi crop loans for 2004-05. It also discussed issuance of loans for the Kharif crop 2004 and recovery position of the past crops.
