The Pakistan Industrial & Traders Associations Front (Piaf) has welcomed the pledge of Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi for not making the Sundar Industrial Estate just a business of plots.
Piaf Chairman Mohammad Ali Mian, in a statement issued here Wednesday, said if this pledge is implemented it would help expedite industrialisation process and increase unemployment opportunities.
He was of the view that expansion in industrial activities would help provide job opportunities to a large number of people, and called for providing every facility in the Sundar Industrial Estate at the earliest.
He also demanded vocational training of youth in line with present day requirements instead of general education, as it would help improve the quality of products of Pakistan too.
He also asked the government to give priority to maintenance of law and order situation and ensure security to the businessmen.
