A delegation of 36 foreign diplomats hailing from 18 countries headed by Foreign Services Academy Director Amjad Ali Sher on Wednesday visited the Punjab University as part of their training programme for the courses at the Academy.
Pakistan Study Center Director Professor Dr Mussarat Abid welcomed the delegation at the Center and highlighted the performance of the Center in forging cordial educational relations with foreign universities.
She said the study tours enabled the students to get first hand knowledge of visiting country and left many indelible impressions on the minds of students.
Acting vice-chancellor Professor Azhar Ikram Ahmad briefed the delegation about the university departments, teaching faculties and academic programmes.
He said the university encouraged more enrolments of foreign students and provided financial support and hostel facilities to foreign students at subsidised rates, he added.
The delegates belong to Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Palestine, Sudan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
