Whenever you ring any big organisation you hear a taped voice saying, "Thank you for Calling bla, bla, bla." In most of the cases (99%), the desired Extension No is not known and one has to wait for the operator to come on line.
Then if the person connected is not the right one, or the line is disconnected due to some reason or the other, you have to go through the annoyance of listening to the tape again and again. Isn't this annoying and a waste of the caller's time?
What does the organisation gain by putting this system on line? Can they reduce the number of operators employed? Which is usually one.
Then why annoy the callers? I suggest that this system be discontinued.
