Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri on Thursday visited Chinese embassy here to express condolence with the Chinese ambassador on the death of a Chinese engineer who died during the operation while releasing the kidnapped engineers.
The Foreign Minister while talking to Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Zhang Chunxiang said President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have expressed their deep sympathies on this tragic loss, also to the government and people of China on this tragedy.
The Chinese Ambassador Zhang Chunxiang said although it was very unfortunate and sad news but it would not effect the long standing friendship of Pakistan and China.
He assured China will continue its help and support to Pakistan and complete all the projects in Pakistan.
The Foreign Minister during his visit to the Chinese embassy and writing his remarks in the condolence book said, "The most tragic and unfortunate death of one of the Chinese engineers in the most horrifying act of terrorism, is a matter of deep pain and anguish to the Government and people of Pakistan."
"I would like to extend on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf our deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family and to the government and people of China," wrote the Foreign Minister.
