Atta would be available at Rs 12 per kg to people throughout Sindh. This was assured by Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Vice Chairman Naeem Malik during a meeting with Sindh Minister Food and Agriculture Arif Mustafa Jatoi here.
It was informed in the meeting that 'Atta' stalls would be established by the millers during Ramazan to facilitate the public in getting atta at the notified price. Mobile stalls would also be functioning to ensure constant availability of 'Atta'. The price of 'Atta' would be clearly printed on the bags available at the stalls, it said.
Arif Jatoi directed the Food Department to lunch a massive media campaign to informed the public about establishment of stalls and availability of 'Atta' at government control rates.
He said any irregularity and complaint must be reported with concerned authorities so that corrective measures were taken accordingly.
He observed that during Ramazan, some profiteers could try to create artificial shortage of 'Atta'. He cautioned the Food officials to be vigilant and remained alert to fail the nefarious designs of such persons.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials of Food Department.
