Excise department moves to impound illegal vehicles

On special instructions of Director General Excise and Taxation, the Department has launched a campaign to trace the fraudulently registered 250 vehicles and a team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Malik Tariq was constituted to bring the culprits to task and impound the vehicles.
According to sources in Excise and Taxation Department, that a gang in connivance with the officials of the department have fraudulently registered vehicles on the fake vouchers of auction.
During the course of investigation of the matter it was found that 250 vehicles were registered illegally.
The record of these vehicles was seized and a move was launched to impound all 250 vehicles and bring the culpable element to task.
The special team headed by ETO Malik Tariq has launched a ruthless campaign to trace and impound these vehicles.
