Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid on Saturday said United States should realise that Muslims want resolution of Indian occupied Kashmir and Palestine issues.
Addressing a public meeting here, the minister said United States should understand that Muslims have a feeling that some of its policies are hurting them and they are not getting their due rights.
Muslims want resolution of the issues of the Palestine and Kashmir, Rashid added.
The minister said Pakistan was on the way to progress and would continue to play a crucial role in the region and at the world level.
He said President Musharraf adopted a right policy in the difficult circumstances faced by Pakistan and due to these policies, Pakistan is safe and its nuclear programme is intact. "We have made the world realise that we are a responsible nation," Rashid added.
He said the government is aware of the demands of its citizens and recognises that issues like unemployment, inflation, law and order and sectarianism need to be tackled.
Sheikh Rashid said he was aware of the needs of the Rawalpindi City and is in regular contact with the people to resolve their problems.
