Four ships and a submarine of Pakistan Navy reached the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas on Friday as part of goodwill and training tour of Persian Gulf. The Iranian Naval authorities accorded warm reception to the fleet from Pakistan Navy, according to a fax message received here from Pakistan's Embassy in Tehran on Saturday.
The Iranian Commander of First Naval Zone, Pakistan's Ambassador Iqbal Ahmad Khan and Naval Attache Capt Khalid Saeed were at hand to welcome the guests from Pakistan.
The Pakistan Navy ships, PNS Mohafiz, PNS Shujaat, PNS Larkana, PNS Kalmat and the Agosta submarine Sa'ad reached Iranian port of Bandar Abbas on October 15 after visiting Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
During their 3-day visit to Iran, the Pakistan Navy ships would have interaction with Iranian Navy besides playing sports and sightseeing.
Pakistan ships would be open to Iranian visitors, particularly university students.
The Pakistan Navy fleet would leave for Pakistan on October 18.
