Dewan Kia has, for the time being suspended production of the entire Kia brand cars, market sources said on Monday. There is no further flow of Kia make car in the market. According to sources, production of Classic NGV-CNG 'SX' Petrol, 1300 cc with market price Rs 529,000 has been stopped.
Production of Spectra LS M/T, 1500 cc, priced at Rs 759,000, Spectra GV manual CNG 1500 cc priced at Rs 779,000 and Spectra LS A/T 1500 cc priced at Rs 799,000 has been discontinued.
Production of Sportage Intercooler T/Diesel 2000 cc, priced at Rs 1,549,000 has also been suspended for the time being.
Market sources said that these Kia products are available on the market without any 'own' money. However, the suspension of production of different Kias has affected production and availability of spare parts of these cars.
Sources said that the promoters of Kia were likely to come with some other make of cars.
