Pakistan on Monday invited Leader of the Opposition and former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani to visit the country. Pakistan High Commissioner to India Aziz Ahmad Khan called on Lal Krishna Advani and extended an invitation on behalf of Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri.
Aziz Ahmad was accompanied by the Deputy High Commissioner Munawar Saeed.
The former Deputy Prime Minister had already been verbally invited by the Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri when he met him during visit to India last month.
Advani is expected to undertake the visit shortly but the dates for the programme are yet to be finalised, sources close to senior BJP leader said.
