A 26-member Chinese delegation led by Chinese consul general1 called on Sindh IG Police Syed Kamal Shah at the central police office here on Monday.
The delegation apprised the IGP of their concern regarding security of Chinese citizens associated with various trades and activities and had an exchange of views for providing them protection.
The IGP informed the delegation that security arrangements have already been further tightened in Sindh and particularly in Karachi whereby special security is being provided to foreigners.
He stressed on close liaison between various Chinese companies with the local police.
The IGP directed all the town police officers to hold regular meetings with Chinese citizens and representatives of various Chinese trading organisations in their respective towns and take security measures as per their recommendations.
He said local Rangers officials should also be invited to these meetings.
