Dewan Farooque Motors, coming out with new models of KIA cars in the first half of 2005 and both KIA NGV and KIA Grand Sportage, are under production, said a spokesman for the company. Contradicting a report published in Business Recorder on Monday, October 18, the company stated that KIA cars are in production at the Sujawal plant.
A total 244 units of KIA NGV and 559 units of KIA Grand Sportage have been produced during January-September 2004. Last year, their production was 459 and 820 respectively.
Further, the company said, there is demand for KIA, and all vehicles are available at all twenty 3S (sales, service and spare parts) Hyundai-KIA dealership, across the country. Spare parts of all Kia vehicles are also available at all twenty 3S Hyundai-Kia dealership, three 2S (Service and Spare parts) facilities and more than 20 authorised parts retailers located across the country.
Dewan Farooque Motors plans to roll out an avenge 100 units of KIA cars per month, and further plans to enhance the production capacity of KIA vehicles during the current fiscal year, the spokesman added.-PR
