Chief Election Commissioner, Irshad Hasan Khan on Wednesday notified programme of by-elections to fill the seats of Nazims of Union Council Urban, Tehsil Harnai, District Sibi; Union Council Nichara, District Kalat and Union Council Kalatuk, Tehsil Turbat, District Kech of Balochistan.
The nomination papers shall be filed with the Returning Officers from November 22 to November 27, 2004 and polling will be held on December 15, 2004.
Publication of notice of nomination papers will be made on November 29 and objections on the nominations by the voters shall be received on November 30, 2004.
Scrutiny of nomination papers and publication of names of validly nominated candidates will take place on December 1, and appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers shall be filed on December 2, 2004.
Disposal of appeals shall take place on or before December 4, and date for withdrawal of candidature has been set for December 6, 2004.
Publication of list of contesting candidates will be made on December 7 and polling will be held on December 15, 2004.
Results will be declared by the Returning Officers on December 16, 2004.
