The Karachi Port handled 98,336 tonnes of cargo including 87,374 tonnes import and 10,962 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 53,711 tonnes dry and 44,625 tonnes liquid cargo.
Two ships namely Marivic and MT Shalamar sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Farland, MT Shalamar, Adhidaya, Pacific Career, Dafa and Wan Hai-263 are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Sinar Bontang, Georgia T, Adhidaya and Wan Hai-263 expected to sail on Saturday, while six ships namely Militos, Pacific
Career, Banglar Kaloll, Thor Captain, Sita Camilla and Nanking are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three ships namely Shamrock Moon, Gao and Arran Trader due to arrive on Saturday, while two vessels viz Pangos G and Kota Teraju are due to arrive on Sunday.
Seven vessels viz MMM Galveston, Rudolf Schulte, Bunga Bidara, Min He, Lena, Jiao Cheng and Eax Sanctity are due to arrive on Monday.
A total cargo volume of 47,647 tonnes including 24,242 tonnes import and 2,074 tonnes export cargo was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 4,110 tonnes chemicals; 6,059 tonnes edible oil; 12,747 tonnes wheat and 3,390 tonnes containerised cargo.
CV Al Mirqab sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while two more ships namely Pacific Sound and Thor Lotus are expected to sail on the same day.
A total of five vessels viz saudi Abha, MSC California, MSC Selin, OOCL Ability and Min Noble are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely OOCL Ability, MSC California and Min Noble due to take berths on Saturday.
Two vessels viz Keefan and Taganroga due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship MSC Rosa is due to arrive on Sunday.
