Rs 18.7 million Zakat to be distributed in Northern Areas

A special meeting of the Northern Areas Zakat Council was held under the chairmanship of Muhammad Farid Khan Wazir, NA chief secretary and NA Zakat Council chairman.
The meeting approved Rs 18.7 million for Mustahiqeen in five districts of Northern Areas for immediate distribution.
It advised the Local Zakat Committees Chairmen for fair, impartial distribution of the fund among most deserving persons.
The meeting unanimously approved the appointment of Syed Bahadur Ali Salik as the chairman, District Zakat Committee, Ghancjche, while Numbardar Mir Zaman as the chairman, District Zakat Committee, Diamar.
It was attend by the NA Finance Secretary Malik Iftikhar Hussain Javed, NA Zakat Administrator Haji Hassan Khan, and all Zakat Council members, Maulana Nazeerullah Khan, Molana Abdul Rahim, Maulana Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, and Qari Abdul Hakim.
