Tom Lehman shot a five-under-par 67 on Saturday to join Briny Baird at the top of the leaderboard after the third round of the Funai Classic.
Lehman and Baird, who carded a 68, are on 17-under 199, one shot ahead of Scott Verplank and two in front of Cameron Beckman in fourth place.
South Africa's Tim Clark had the round of the day, an eight-under 64, to move from a tie for 34th to joint fifth on 202 with world number one Vijay Singh, Mark Calcavecchia and Australia's Geoff Ogilvy.
Former British Open champion Ben Curtis is in a group of four players on 203 alongside Joey Sindelar, Australia's Mark Hensby and Stephen Ames of Trinidad and Tobago.
A total of 20 players are within five strokes of Lehman and Baird.
Singh, the winner of eight titles on the US PGA Tour this season, has won his last three tour starts and five of his last six. He opened the Funai with a six-under 66 but drifted back into the pack on Friday when he slipped to a 71.
On Saturday, Singh birdied five of his first seven holes, then added three more over the first four holes of the back nine of the Magnolia Golf Course at the Walt Disney resort.
His eight birdies were just one short of his total for the first two rounds.
"I wasn't doing anything wrong, I just wasn't taking enough time on the backswing," Singh said of his scoring problems in the second round.
