"So did Laura Bush ever work or not?"
"Well according to Teresa Heinz Kerry never, but we all know that she did. I mean her employment history is not quite like her husband's record in the armed forces, unavailable or doctored."
"So why did Teresa say Laura had never worked?"
"This is election time I guess and she wanted to prove to Americans that she is one up on Laura."
"That might be difficult for the heiress. I mean true the Bush family is rich, whatever their source of wealth but Laura is from an average income family or so I think."
"Sorry to cut in but doesn't this kind of politics remind you of something?"
"Yes indeed. Our very own politics though I don't think our first spouses ever said anything derogatory about each other. I mean AZ never said anything about Kulsoom and neither did she."
"I guess they were both too overwhelmed with each other's spouses to say anything."
"And their own."
"What?"
"They were equally if not more overwhelmed by their own spouses."
"That's right."
"So anyway Teresa was wrong and round one to Laura."
"Indeed. Personally I don't like Laura but she never says anything against anyone publicly and one has to admire that."
"Indeed."
"But if the Kerry's win..."
"Blair the Poodle will be in the doldrums."
"Because he is so close to Bush?"
"No, that wouldn't antagonise Kerry, I mean we all have our preferences. But the Poodle has done three things which Kerry may not forget. First inviting Bush to England to stay with the Queen - that was a good photo opportunity. Second not to congratulate Kerry on his nomination as the Democratic contender for the White House. And finally he is sending British troops to the war zone in Iraq which will allow Bush to claim that the casualties are not only American but British as well."
"Ah partisan that! Just to see Blair the Poodle snubbed by Bush I hope Kerry wins."
"So do I."
