Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has so far contracted to purchase 333,500 bales of cotton, while total bales so far arrived in TCP's godowns are 35,700 bales.
On Saturday last, TCP entered into fresh contracts for 17,200 bales at various cotton procurement centres in Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan. A quantity of 6.400 bales has been delivered to TCP Karachi godowns.
According to TCP official figures, so far 94,300 bales have been contracted from Sindh and 239,200 bales from Punjab.
