Ishrat Husain, Governor, State Bank of Pakistan on Friday, October 22 visited United Bank's newly renovated City (Model) Branch located on I.I. Chundrigar Road.
UBL President Atif Bokhari and group heads of the bank received the governor at the branch. He was escorted to all the departments of the renovated branch.
Dr Ishrat was particularly keen to discuss "full-service" banking needs of the customer which, he emphasised, should be provided under one umbrella within a reasonable turnaround time.
He also suggested providing a 24-hour online banking kiosk at the model branches to meet the growing business demands of the customers.
He stressed that privatised banks should make a difference as far as improved customer service and satisfaction is concerned. The customer should leave the branch satisfied that all his needs have been fully met by the bank staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
Expressing his views on UBL's master plan of renovating its countrywide branches, the governor was impressed to note the change in the branch ambiance with state-of-the-art facilities and stressed for equally watching investments in the Human resources also.
UBL President Atif Bokhari informed the SBP governor of the recent renovation of UBL's North Nazimabad branch also. The branch has the unique distinction of having the facility of Pakistan's first-ever DRIVE THROUGH ATM and Cash Counter.
