Upward trend was again witnessed on the grain market on Wednesday as most of the items tended higher on short supply position, dealers said.
On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake inferior type gained Rs 10 to Rs 425 and best type rose by Rs 15 to Rs 440. Cottonseed Lasbela was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 725 and Rs 750. Castorseed Sindh better type picked up Rs 25 to Rs 725.
On the cereals side, Urad Burma quoted higher at Rs 850. As a result of rising demand, the wheat Mexipak gained further Rs 25. While, the guwar inferior type lost Rs 25 at Rs 1775 and best type shed Rs 50 to Rs 1825 for all stations.
A solo deal was seen on the rice sector, as irri-white was down by Rs 20 to Rs 1030 and Rs 1035 in slow trading, dealers said.
