The Karachi Port handled 83,408 tonnes of cargo including 55,084 tonnes import and 28,324 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 65,009 tonnes dry and 18,399 tonnes liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Rudolf Kota Teraju, Militos, Apl Shanghai and Panama Express sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Militos, Panama Express, Banglar Kakoli, Hyundai Stride, Kota Wangsa, YM Moon and Botany Trust are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Kota Wangsa, Apl Tulip, YM Moon and Lena expected to sail on Thursday, while four ships namely Botany Trust, Arran Trader, NCC Yamamah and Eax Sanctity are expected to sail on Friday.
Two ships namely MT Swat and Corinthiakos due to arrive on Thursday, while five vessels viz Chembulk Fortitude, Al Mirqab, Wan Hai-261,Iran Shahryar and Kota Teguh are due to arrive on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 9,006 tonnes wheat; 12,836 tonnes iron ore and 20,570 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container vessels viz Contship Indigo and Oranje expected to sail one Thursday.
A total of three vessels viz Alaska, Anette Kosan and Rubi-III are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely MSC Rosa, Alaska, Amasis, Anette Kosan and Rubi-III due to take berths on Thursday.
MT Ben Aicha is due to arrive on Thursday.
