Federal Minister for Water and Power Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi said Saturday that it is the government's policy to provide basic facilities to the people and the same were being provided to them.
Speaking at the foundation-stone laying ceremony of a link road near village Dur Muhammad Abro the Federal Minister said a pumping scheme has already been started to provide more water to the area.
He said jobs will be provided to the people on their doorsteps to curb unemployment. The Minister said the road whose foundation stone is being laid today will benefit thousands of people on completion.
This road scheme will cost Rs 8.836 million while another Rs 5.115 million will be spent on drainage scheme for this village.
He said more development schemes will be allocated to this area. Liaquat Jatoi also received applications from the villagers and issued orders on the spot.
