Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Muhammad Anwar Khan has said the better way to pay homage and tributes to great Kashmiri leader Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Yousaf was to follow his teachings and foot steps to achieve the goal of freedom for which they had rendered sacrifices.
The AJK President Anwar in his message in connection with the 36th death anniversary of Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Yousaf Shah said Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Yousaf was not only a great Kashmiri leader but also a great religious scholar.
Death anniversary of the former AJK President and religious leader is observed on 16th of Ramazan every year. 36th death anniversary of Mirwaiz will be observed on Sunday to pay rich tributes and homage to great Kashmiri leader for his meritorious services he rendered being a religious, political leader and President of AJK for the noble cause of freedom and people of AJK. Mirwaiz, during his tenure as President of AJK had adopted measures for the promotion of Islamic laws and to make AJK a welfare Islamic state.
AJK President said the time demanded them all to follow the teachings and principles of their great veteran leaders in order to achieve their goal of freedom for liberation of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from Indian subjugation and the whole state's accession to Pakistan for which more than 85000 innocent Kashmiri people had made tremendous sacrifices of their lives in last 15 years. He was of the view that "It is obligatory upon all of us to complete the mission of our forefathers and great leaders to get the occupied territory free from Indian subjugation".
The AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayyat Khan in his message on the eve of 36th death anniversary of Mirwaiz Moulana Yousaf said Mirwaiz Yousaf and his family had always been rendering great services for the promotion and propagation of Islam and Islamic values in the state and to associate the Kashmiri people close to Islam.
Sikandar was of the view Kashmiri people could not forget great services of Moulana Yousaf and his family for the cause of Islam and freedom movement.
AJK Premier opined freedom was in fact a blessing of Almighty Allah as the values of that blessing could be asked from those people who were suffering from foreign occupation and atrocities.
He paid glowing tributes to Mirwaiz Yousaf and his family for their historical services for the noble cause of propagation of Deen-e-Islam and freedom movement.
AJK Premier said it was the need of the hour to continue the mission of our great leaders till its completion to achieve our destination ie freedom of occupied territory and whole state accession to Pakistan for which the valiant Kashmiri people had been making extra-ordinary sacrifices, he added.
