Brazilian sugar vessels line-up rises

The line-up of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazil's ports rose to 53 from 48 last week, shipping agent Williams said Thursday.
It said in a weekly report that 32 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, up from 28 last week. At Paranagua there were eight ships, the same as last week, and at Maceio there were four, up from three last week. Santos accounted for 69 percent of the sugar being loaded in Brazilian ports, while Paranagua garnered 14 percent.
Brazil's main center-south sugarcane region has crushed about 75 percent of its harvest, which could continue until December after rain delayed early harvesting.
