Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Amanullah Khan Jadoon has said that the government was according top priority to develop the remote and less-developed areas in order to provide the basic amenities of life to the people. Addressing an open kutchery here on Sunday, the minister said that the government under the dynamic leaderships of President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was sparing no effort to bring socio-economic uplift in the country.
He asked the people to work with patriotism for the well being of the country and co-operate with the government in its efforts for alleviation of poverty, unemployment and backwardness of the areas.
Jadoon said that the development work in Abbottabad and adjoining areas has been started at accelerated pace and the days are not far when this would be a model city of the country.
The minister directed the Sui Gas Company and Wapda to take prompt action on the consumers complaints in order to solve their problems. He assured that neglected development work would be started in Guliat soon and the federal government would be requested to provide additional funds for the purpose.
Nazims of Guliat, Tahir Faraz, Advocate Jan Qureshi, Nazir Abbasi and Gulzar Abbasi also met with the minister and informed him that Guliat Development Authority has suspended bulldozers work in the areas due to non realise of funds by the ministry.
