The Rawalpindi-bound Jaffer Express escaped likely disaster on Sunday morning at Chak railway station, some 25 km south-west of Multan, when two motorcyclists got entangled in the railway track. The Engine driver, Saeed Ahmed, pulled emergency brakes to save them. However, one of them managed to save himself completely while the other was injured seriously.
The driver said that train could be derailed which could have caused heavy losses.
Railway Police removed the remains of motorcycle from the track and have registered a case.
