Federal government has prepared a strategy for providing common facility services to industries like cutlery (Wazirabad) and electric fan (Gujrat) developed in clusters. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Saturday that such common services would include training facilities, testing services, bounded warehouse and combined marketing support to the business community engaged with cutlery and electric fan manufacturing.
Sources disclosed that this project is under way in collaboration with UNIDO and funds amounting to 211,000 dollars have been arranged from the export development fund.
The step has been taken to enable the business community engaged with cutlery and fan industry to further improve the quality and standard of their products and compete with international market, sources added.
