Punjab Home Department has issued detention orders of eight activists of banned Hizbut-tehrir for delivering pamphlets and handbills against United States and General Pervez Musharraf. The Pak Gate police have arrested them on October 5 while distributing leaflets among the general public containing objectionable material, which may incite the people's religious sentiments.
"We have served the detention orders of Home Department on the eight activists of the banned Hizbut-tehrir, Shahid Iqbal, Dr Abdul Rauf, Mehmood Ali, Zahid Iqbal, Ghulam Ghaus, Sajid Naeem, Muhammad Shehzad and Abubakr in new Central Jail for distributing leaflets, handbill containing objectionable material against the present government," DPO Multan Sikandar Hayat said.
