Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo arrived in Japan Sunday to attend a trade and investment conference which is aimed at boosting economic ties between Africa and Asia. The Africa-Asia Trade and Investment Conference is being sponsored jointly by Japan, the United Nations, the World Bank and the Global Coalition for Africa.
"I regard it as an important conference because we in Africa need improvement on trade, access of our products to the world market and we need investment," Obasanjo told African diplomats in Tokyo shortly on arrival.
