With the advent of the month of November and pay day for most employees, the Eidul Fitr shopping has gained momentum in the city and all the shopping centres are doing roaring business in the day till the Asr prayers and again, after the Taraveeh prayers in the night till beyond mid-night, reports UPP correspondent.
The very elaborate security arrangements made in the city at various shopping centres have been appreciated by the people, including the ladies who are calling in big number now for the Eid shopping at the various shopping centres. Complaint centres are also functioning at various shopping centres in the city and designated persons attend to any complaints made by members of the public against overcharging or any other malpractice by the traders.
Provincial Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui has directed that special security be ensured at all the shopping centres by the police and special attention be paid to the security of lady shoppers at all the shopping centres.
Many ladies engaged in shopping at the several shopping centres in the Saddar area told UPP correspondent that they were satisfied with the security arrangements made by the police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies.
