Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q), Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said on Tuesday that the special committee of the Senate would visit Quetta on Wednesday to seek a political solution to the situation in Balochistan.
The committee would meet provincial political leaders and public representatives to listen their point of view and prepare a report in light of its observations and findings.
Mushahid, who is also chairman of the committee, said proposals from the Baloch leaders Nawab Akbar Bugti had already been received.
He however added that the committee had decided to visit Balochistan to assess the situation, meet public opinion leaders, elders, intellectuals and local leaders to find out their problems and listen their suggestions.
The committee comprising members of treasury and opposition, will be in the provincial capital for three days and also visit Gwadar Port.
