Jinnah Avenue declared silent zone

Islamabad traffic police has declared Jinnah Avenue Blue Area (JABA) as Silent zone (Horn free road) to bring improvement in traffic system and reduce noise pollution.
Superintendent of Traffic police said on Tuesday that traffic police had initiated a campaign to ensure smooth flow of traffic and had installed banners inscribed with traffic laws at the entry and exit roads of the capital.
To avoid traffic jam, policemen would be deployed at all main Chowk and traffic would be diverted to alternate routes, to ensure movement of traffic rush, he said.
He appealed the citizens to follow traffic rules so that safe road environment could be ensured in the capital.
