Special teams comprising three members each of Chief Minister's Inspection Team (CMIT) have been constituted that would submit its reports to the Punjab Chief Minister about monitoring, quality of work and utilisation of funds in mega projects of agriculture, health, irrigation and education departments.
CMIT Minister Shuja Khanzada disclosed this while presiding over a high-level meeting here on Tuesday which was attended by CMIT Chairman Arsalan Ali Khan, I&C Secretary Khusro Pervaiz, CMIT Secretary Siddique Minhas and other members concerned, disclosed an official.
The Minister said the chief minister had appreciated the performance of CMIT and decided to give more powers to it so as to uproot corruption from the government departments.
Shuja Khanzada said monitoring as well as evaluation of on-going development schemes had been initiated whereas a computer room was being established at the office of CMIT where record of all development schemes would be computerised.
