A two-member Pakistan delegation arrived here on Wednesday to attend the security policy conference of Asean Regional Forum (ARF). It comprises Additional Secretary Defence Air-Vice Marshal Maqbool Ali Shah and spokesman of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Masood Khan. The three-day conference is scheduled to begin on Thursday to discuss the prevailing regional security situation.
The ARF countries had unanimously accepted Pakistan as its new member at its meeting held on July 2 last year in Jakarta.
The sources told APP that the meeting is aimed at increasing the participation of defence officials in the ARF.
