The Punjab Industrial Estate has started allotment of plots in Sundar Industrial Estate, 24-km away from Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore. The first balloting was held for pharmaceutical sector in presence of all the 37 probable industrialists and their representatives at PIE, Central office here on Tuesday.
Punjab Industrial Estate Chairman Mohsin Syed on the occasion assured that all working would be done in transparent manner in this customer driven industrial estate. The participants expressed their complete satisfaction on procedure adopted for allotment of plots.
Earlier, in a meeting of 37 probable industrialists of SIE unanimously resolved to set up an international standard and modern laboratory which would be used for all drug testing and research purpose. It was also resolved that international donor organisation like JICA and others would be involved in setting up this prestigious laboratory.
This laboratory would not only cater the needs of probable units of SIE but also render services to other existing Pharma units in the country, the participants resolved.
