To resolve the problems of the general public at their doorstep are main aim of the Punjab Government and reason of introducing new Local Government System in the country, said Muhammad Basharat Raja, Punjab Minister for Local Government and Law here on Thursday. "Committee Chowk would be opened for general traffic before the Eid-ul-Fitr in order to save people from traffic problems on this auspicious occasion", minister said while opening a link road in a suburban area of Rawalpindi City.
The link road was constructed with the cost of Rs 1.6 million which would benefit a huge population of Kotha Kalan and suburbs.
"Two important projects constructed under special development package of Punjab Chief Minister including Committee Chowk and Kalima Chowk would be opened before Eid", he said adding that these two projects would provide relief to general public of the Rawalpindi and make sure the smooth sailing of traffic on these two important junctures. He said Chief Minister has special considerations for Rawalpindi and the development package he announced was ample proof of his attachment with the Pindi people. "Chief Minister has keen interest in the development of this city," he said.
